Past. Present. Future.
HISTORY...
DAYS was founded to combine the City of Denver’s four private youth services bureaus. After its inception in 1982, area youth and families had improved access to a wide range of needed programs and services. Over the years, DAYS has responded to the changing needs of the community by adding and expanding comprehensive, high-quality human services programs, at little or no cost, to predominantly low-income and at-risk children, youth, and families.
MISSION...
DAYS exists to promote and provide a continuum of human services for children, youth, and families. Each year, DAYS provides the following services to over 1,500 individuals in the greater Denver community:
*In-home therapy, substance abuse therapy, foster care, transitional services, enrichment activities, counseling, mental and behavioral health care, sexual health programs, HIV/STD prevention, and parenting programs
VISION...
As DAYS celebrates 30 years of accomplishments in 2012, we embark on another series of milestones that will continue to develop the organization as a leader in the field of human services, mental health and substance abuse treatment.
Ultimately, DAYS envisions a world where children, youth, and their families have the resources and knowledge they need to overcome barriers and lead a healthy, productive, and contented life.
